Snapped Blog Tour - Excerpt & Giveaway

Snapped Series
 by Ketley Allison
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

“We have someone who saw you struggling with the deceased before using that knife. Your best friend, and our eye witness.”

In nine weeks Charlie Miller’s life goes from high-rolling perfection to a crypt of sin. All it takes is one night, one blade, and her boyfriend, best friend and new friends all either end up as suspects or dead.
Nate Westcott, a pierced, tattooed, charismatic lawyer, is a man she can’t have—but a seductive danger she can’t ignore. He’s cocky, infuriating, brilliant and wrong, yet he makes her question whether she really is the good girl she wants to be or more like the selfish killer everyone thinks she is.
And her body wants him in ways she’s not supposed to crave.
As the weeks close in, cracks start forming in her everyday world of pro football golden boys, law school domination and New York City nightlife. Everyone she cares about is at risk because one of them doesn’t love Charlie back. In fact, they want her out of the way. Disposed of. Set up.
One more step, and all Charlie has to do is fall through.
Week 1 starts now.

WHO WILL SNAP?
Snapped is Ketley’s New Adult Contemporary series with all the romance you’d expect, but the killer—and lovers—that you don’t.

“You sure you’re doing okay?” she asked.
An announcement sounded through the speakers, signaling the start of the game. Reagan shot to her feet, screaming, arms wide. Nate angled away from her, fist to his mouth, laughing.
I wrung my hands through my mittens. “She’s trying to turn Slade.”
“What?” Lara couldn’t hear me through the pair of men behind us screaming death threats at the opposite team.
“She wants Slade!”
“And?” she said as Reagan pulled at her arm to stand. In turn, Lara pulled on mine. “You have him. Charlie, you’ve got to stop.”
“I know.” First Slade, now Lara. Maybe there was something wrong with how I was interpreting things. I held onto her forearm for comfort.
“You do realize that she’s not the one coming off as obsessed?”
“Yes.” I closed my eyes, thinking of Nate and Reagan, individuals who had the ability to flip me upside down without even knowing it. “After what you said, though, about becoming close with her, it’s as if everything I staunched has come bubbling back up.”
“Don’t let it. Don’t you dare.” She jostled my arm. “You were so normal and glowing fifteen minutes ago. Find it again.”
A crowd of players formed on the bright green field, readying for the coin toss. Slade was the offensive team captain, so he was in the middle of the growing crowd, hands on his padded hips and helmetless as he conversed with the defensive team captain. The visiting team captains were also there, plus another quarterback and a defensive tackle. Slade had told me their names once, especially since that quarterback was so unpredictable on the field he made Slade antsy, but I couldn’t remember them.
A few other players joined them and the ref, three to four from each team forming a loose circle to watch the coin toss. The visiting team called it, and I heard “heads” echo out from the microphone that was somewhere within all the cameras and giant players swarming at the center.
“Hello, wanna assure me now? That everything’s wonderful, and you and Slade couldn’t be happier?”
At Lara’s words, Nate tilted his ear in our direction.
I fiddled with a loose thread on my mitten. “We’re all of those. He’s the only one I love. There will never be anyone else.”
“You keep fussing with your gloves.” She bent down for a closer look, saying in a low tone, “Are you going to show me what I think you’re going to show me?”

AUTHOR BIO

Ketley Allison began her career by writing books as birthday presents for her friends (with her friend as the main character and opposite a super sexy lead, of course) before ending it in order to walk down a path she thought she was supposed to follow.

The writing bug never left her–and, in fact, would often bleed into the official papers she was supposed to write–so now Ketley’s putting down her suit and finally following her dream. While her friends are no longer the stars of her books, she still throws in bits and pieces of them into each and every one of her characters.

As a result, her books tend to focus a lot on friendships as well as love, because let’s be honest, friends are what really get you through–especially when your epic love turns into epic heartbreak.
