My name is Dika, I am an American born Hungarian, Polish, Spanish Gypsy with a little bit of something special, born right here in the green state of Oregon, home of the Beavers. My name is Chrome Jai, Dragon Guardian to Dika Edens, created to protect her from the evils of the first human woman mother of mankind. I will protect her as she fights to save the humans, but her first assignment will be to make it through the first 48 hours and find her Aunt and her Grandmother.

Kate Marie Robbins

Author Bio

From the makings of her fabulous tennis hits, from the inspiration of her waggish pets, from the riotous air of Minnesota, comes Kate Marie Robbins...

She lives in a VERY small town in southeastern Minnesota with her family and her three pets. She is currently working in a nursing home but has for long dreamed of being a published author- which since you are reading this, has come true. She likes to read, sing, paint and is very proud of her music & book collections. She also wants to travel the world. When she travels the world of Indigo, she would like to learn sword fighting from Bradan, or be a tailor.

Kate once waited to get into a concert for ten hours, in a snow storm. She dyes her hair a different color every few months, and once went to Walmart wearing a black cape and cat ears. She never got into trouble at school, and has not yet achieved her ambition of drinking her way through all twelve pubs pictured on her Irish calendar.

Her interests are: reading, writing (both literature and poetry), drawing, painting, singing, yoga, music (especially live concerts), and watching movies.
Kate began writing Indigo in January of 2010. The idea sparked from the Owl City song, "Hot Air Balloon." It is the first in a trilogy. There may end up being more, but at the present time, it's intended to be a trilogy.

Indigo

What starts out as a trip out in Sera's uncle John's hot air balloon, turns into the adventure of a life time for her and her best friend Ava. Magical forces pull them into a world unlike their own. The world of Indigo. Where nothing is what it seems. Looks are deceiving and good and evil aren't easily distinguished. Will the two teens be able to figure out who's side they're really on before its too late?

(This is subject to change, since it is not completed.)

Day 5 of our Indie Author Appreciation Week

Day 5 is here! How are you all enjoying it?
I know I have had my eyes opened to a few authors who's books I will definitely be reading.

Today we are featuring another 3 wonderful authors:

Barbara Silkstone
Destiny Patterson
and
C.M Stunich

Lets get started!

Barbara Silkstone

Should your heroine sound like you?

By Barbara Silkstone

Giddy with excitement I am stepping into the world of audio books. I have started the process of bringing my snarky heroine Wendy Darlin into the ear buds of millions of listeners. Well, maybe millions is a bit optimistic. But Wendy and I are like that.

Wendy supplements her Miami real estate broker income by reverse tombraiding. She returns rare antiquities, often with hilarious results. In the first Wendy book, WENDY AND THE LOST BOYS, our gal is kidnapped and held on a super-yacht by a Ponzi-king who has overdosed on UpUGo. The little blue pills have given him a longer than four-hour problem.

In LONDON BROIL, Wendy is in a frantic race against time and a murderer as she searches for the Last Lost Boy hidden somewhere in London, while a killer heat wave invades the city. This fall, Wendy will find romance and rascals in CAIRO CAPER.

I love the idea of hearing Wendy’s words spoken. I signed with Amazon’s Audible ACX to put the first two Wendy books on audio. After listening tosix delightful narrators, I found my Wendy. Her voice was perfect. Plus when the actress read the male parts she tweaked the tones just enough so the reader could tell the good guys from the crooks.

Like a kid with a new toy, I played the audition for members of my writers group.

“That’s not your voice,” they said, puzzled.

“It’s not supposed to be. She’s a professional narrator.”

They scratched their heads. “But you are Wendy.”

I wondered. We pour our alter egos into our characters. Their thoughts, their passions, their daring stunts are us if we had the guts. But are they our Doppelgängers?

My biggest challenge lurks just around the corner. THE SECRET DIARY OF ALICE IN WONDERLAND, AGE 42 AND THREE-QUARTERS holds a basketful of crazy characters. Alice is a sweet but feisty businesswoman. She falls for a British conman based on his perfect upper-crust baritone voice. Her London lothario comes to Miami with a stalking ex-wife and a cockney sidekick. Finding a woman to narrate Alice’s diary while occasionally sounding like John Cleese, a shrill British housewife, and a cockney hustler will not be easy.

I love my fans and the fact that they share my wackiness. I have two books published with a third in the works based on characters that wear Morphsuits. The skintight spandex suits are a crazy fad that’s sweeping the globe. Check them out on FaceBook. A dear reader shared her experience in trying to determine if characters could be heard speaking through the spandex masks that cover the heads and faces ofMorphsuiters. As she didn’t own a Morphsuit, she pulled her Spanx over her head and talked to herself in the mirror. “I couldn’t heard myself very well,” she said. The vision of her chatting with a tummy-tamer over her head was heartwarming to this author. Love you, fans!

About the Author
Barbara Silkstone is the best-selling author of Criminally Funny Fables series that currently includes: The Secret Diary of Alice in Wonderland, Age 42 and Three-Quarters;Wendy and the Lost BoysZo White and the Seven Morphs;Cold Case Morphs; and London Broil.

For further giggles and a touch of true fiction try: The Adventures of a Love Investigator, 527 Naked Men and One Woman.

Silkstone’s writing has been described as “perfectly paced and pitched – shades of Janet Evanovich and Carl Hiaasen – without seeming remotely derivative. Fast moving action that shoots from the hip with bullet-proof characterisation.”

Wendy and the Lost Boys

When a deathbed promise to a friend leaves Wendy Darlin, feisty Miami real estate broker for billionaires, trapped on a super-yacht with Ponzi-king, Charlie Hook, she’s forced to join him on a quest to recover his hidden treasure, one step ahead of modern day ruthless pirates.

Destiny Patterson

A little about me:
I have a wonderful Husband, two awesome children and the most supportive, loving family anyone could ever hope for.

When I set down with a pen and a ton of paper, my crazy imagination takes over. Writing is my passion, I spend every free moment in my own little world.

Arose

Without any memories of her past or herself, Amara must uncover the truth before the Originals get their hands on her and set into motion their plans for destruction. Will an old flame help her along the way or prove to be her downfall? Will she follow her heart and trust new friends for guidance? With all the lies and deceit will she be able to control the darkness within so that she may fulfill her destiny? Who will reign victorious in the battle for her love, a vampire, angelic, or human she has just met?

C.M Stunich

C. M. Stunich was raised under a cover of fog in the area known simply as Eureka , CA. A mysterious place, this strange, arboreal land nursed Caitlin’s (yes, that’s her name!) desire to write strange fiction novels about wicked monsters, magical trains, and Nemean Lions (Google it).  She currently enjoys drag queens, having too many cats, and tribal belly dance.

Always a fan of the indie scene and ‘sticking it to the man’, Ms Stunich decided to take the road less traveled and forgo the traditional publishing route. You can be assured though the she received several rejections as to ensure her proper place in the world of writers before taking up a friend’s offer to start a publishing company. Sarian Royal was born, and Ms. Stunich’s books slowly transformed from mere baking chocolate to full blown tortes with hand sculpted fondant flowers. C.M. is a writer obsessed with delivering the very best and scours her mind on a regular basis to select the most unusual stories for the outside world.

Finding Never

And a small sneek peak at Finding Never the second in the trilogy coming in Feb.

Ty is an enigma to me.  He's still the wounded soul that I met at the bar, but he's also something different now. I can't quite put my finger on it, but when he looks at me, his eyes are full of color and life that attracts me like a moth to flames. I'm just going to have to do my best not to get burned. Ty could do that now, so easily that he could reduce me to a pile of ash without my even knowing it. I've given him this massive hold over me and my proverbial heart is beating in the palm of his hand, in his ringed, calloused hand.
“Tell me about your sisters again,” Ty says sleepily. It's the middle of the day, but we're both exhausted

Review- The Falcon Falls by Vivien Sparx

Title- The Falcon Falls
Author- Vivien Sparx
Genre- Erotic Romance
Publication Date- 22nd of January 2013

Review copy provided by author.

Blurb- Who is Hector Knight?

Willow Everingham can't stop dreaming about her handsome boss, but Hector Knight is much more than just a gorgeous businessman. And when Willow discovers Hector's incredible secret, she is hurled headlong into a desperate adventure that reaches its gripping climax on a desolate island in the Mediterranean, where an ancient mystery ignites a blaze of erotic lust, passion greed... and ultimately a love that has spanned the centuries. Have you ever felt like you've known someone forever?

Review- Mystery, action, drama, romance, what more would you want. Vivien worked so hard to make sure The Falcon Falls was a great read and she has more than delivered.

Willow is a headstrong woman from USA who moved abroad and Hector, her English boss, is a ruthless business man. When Willow starts having intense dreams about her boss, she thought they were brought on by her attraction to him, however it is something much more.

Vivien always manages to create such intense relationships between her characters and always so tastefully. Her writing makes the attraction between them believable. Sparx took a step into the unknown with this story, but reading it you would think she wrote about subjects like this all the time. The storyline seemed effortless and flowed continuously. The way Vivien described he locations and surroundings had my mind going on a journey of lust and adventure that I did not want to end.

The Falcon Falls is truly captivating, from the characters to the storyline. I was engrossed from beginning to end.

Treat your imagination to a journey like no other by purchasing your copy from:

Today on the blog we have three gorgeous ladies...

Cherie Colyer

Author Bio:

Cherie Colyer’s imagination extends far beyond her Illinois roots through her love of books and reading. The discipline of her career as a Network Technician provides an opposing mindset for her fictional stories. Cherie combines her fascination of all things mythical with her passion for writing to weave together middle grade and young adult stories. Her young adult paranormal romance/ thriller, EMBRACE, is now available. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, meeting new people, writing, reading, and loves a challenge. While she has had many great experiences, her most satisfying experience is seeing her children and stories grow into their own exciting and distinct entities.

Embrace

Madison is familiar enough with change, and she hates everything about it. Change took her long-term boyfriend away from her. It caused one of her friends to suddenly hate her. It’s responsible for the death of a local along with a host of other mysterious happenings. But when Madison meets a hot new guy, she thinks her luck is about to improve.
Madison is instantly drawn to the handsome and intriguing Isaac Addington. She quickly realizes he’s a guy harboring a secret, but she’s willing to risk the unknown to be with him.
Her world really spins out of control, however, when her best friend becomes delusional, seeing things that aren’t there and desperately trying to escape their evil. When the doctors can’t find the answers, Madison seeks her own.
Nothing can prepare her for what she is about to discover.
Dangerous, intoxicating, and darkly romantic, Embrace is a thriller that will leave you spellbound.

Upcoming projects:

I have a couple young adult projects in the works. At the request of my fans, I’ve written a sequel to Embrace. In book two, Madison and her friends discover they aren't the only supernatural begins in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and these new creatures are more dangerous than ever. Madison will need to hold tight to those she loves, because this time she risks losing more than just her friends.I hope to have some good news to share on that soon. My second project is teen novel about a brother and sister who must outsmart supernatural beings if they hope to remain human and if they are to avoid being pawns in a coming war. My agent is in the process of submitting this one. I have a few new ideas that I’ve been playing with, all of which have to do with the paranormal. I really enjoy researching the subject and then twisting what’s known or believed into my own stores.

I’m always happy to hear from readers:
