Review- With such a heavily detailed blurb, I don't really have to go into the storyline at all. It pretty much covers it. However what it doesn't cover is how Haunting Lia will absorb and engross you.

To put it bluntly, the prologue scared the crap out of me. I don't do well with creepy, ghostly subjects at the best of times let alone in a well descriptive book, but the fact that it created a reaction from me says a lot. In a good way. The rest of the book was just as good. Scarey, twisted, dark and creepy as well as touching, emotional and romantic. All of this mixed with a well thought out original and creative storyline, and Shannon Eckrich has delivered a thoroughly enjoyable and addictive read.

I highly recommend this to any paranormal lover out there or anyone who is thinking of delving into this genre.

Review- I am seriously loving Lacey’s writing right now! She is very quickly becoming one of my favourite authors.

This book was fantastic!! It hooked me from the very start! As always, Lacey has created such real characters that you will love from the beginning. Grandma Mullins was one of my favourites, (besides from the very yummy Vance!). I would have loved to have a Grandma like her. The love story between Vance and Portia is just so romantic ** sigh**. Their instant connection will make you jealous and happy all at the same time. The binding spell … that’s all I am going to say because you will just have to read it yourself!! I haven’t read a lot of stories with witches and magic but this book has made me very curious to read more. I felt I was learning just as much as Portia was.
Portia discovers on her 16th birthday that she is a witch, and that her dad and Grandma Mullins
are powerful leaders of a Coven. A far cry from the encyclopaedia salesman that she thought her dad was!! Vance is 18 and is also a very powerful warlock and part of the same coven. He is on the run from his dad and the coven has been keeping him safe. It soon turn out that Portia is also very powerful but as she is still just learning they don’t know the full extent of her powers.

I can not wait to read the rest of the books in this series to find out more about Vance and what his father’s intentions are, as well as finding out just how powerful Portia becomes.

I give this awesome book an easy 5/5!!!

Review- Catherine has stunned me with how much sorrow and emotion she has packed into this short 34 page story. Because the story is so short I cannot say a lot without giving too much away. But I will say this, Condemned To Die is beautifully written with a touching storyline and characters to match.

Zane has the ability to delve into peoples minds, reading their thoughts, controlling their bodies, which is how he learns of the people responsible for pushing Vega to her limit and exacting her revenge on them. Learning of the events that brought the downfall of Vega was heartbreaking. What's more heartbreaking is the twist at the end when it is explained why she went through everything she did.

My question is, is there going to be a sequel? I sure hope so.

If you are looking for a short read that is worth your time then this is for you. For such a short story, it sure pulls on the heartstrings and leaves it's mark on you.

I was really excited to read and review this book! I loved the first two Dylan Hart books by R.M. Gilmore, so I was very keen to read more of her work.

This book is such an easy read as it is a novella, and the story is fast and flows really well. I really like the way R.M. writes, and this story even had me reading it in the southern accent she wrote in!! The story is written from the main character Lynnie Russell’s point of view. It is her twentieth birthday and it is the day she becomes …… well I won’t tell you what she becomes but it is a paranormal story!! It also has a little bit of horror which had me cringing a little bit ! I love Lynnie’s character, she is very real and has a good sense of humour considering her life and then the situation she finds herself in.

It is an original storyline and it will hook you in quickly. Then before you know you are at the end of the story and you just want to read more ! I know I can’t wait to see what happens next for Lynnie.
Definitely a great book and I give it 4/5

Review- Ok where do I start? I found Indigo Awakening very hard to get into. I found that I couldn't lose myself in the story or invest myself into it. I found it quite confusing, but jumping from about 5 or 6 different points of view will do that to you. I think that was the most frustrating part. There were some characters points of view that would come into the story who I hadn't even heard of in the story until that point. I personally wasn't able to make a connection to the characters and I didn't find myself drawn to any of them either.

I found the writing a little jumpy and had trouble trying to keep track of where I was. It didn't seem to me that there was any real explanation of the "Indigo children" until way down the track in the book and by that time I was getting fairly frustrated with the story that I lost interest.

It's safe to say that Indigo Awakening just wasn't for me. Usually I really love teen and YA books, but this one I think should definitely stay within that age group.

Review- One word to describe Ezekiel's Bones: Refreshing. Why? Finally a new paranormal story that is different and original instead of the same old repetitive stories that seem to be circulating as of late.

Yes we have a teenager who is moody and against the world but what happens to this girl and her family that has their lives spiral into unknown territory is one well thought out and creative storyline. From warriors made out of the bones from the people who have passed on to "Shades" and soulless humans, Fuller has done her job as an author to create a truly organic story. Along with the totally original plot, Fuller also delivers a book full of action, mystery, drama and a hint of romance. The perfect recipe for a thoroughly entertaining book.

Although I did thoroughly enjoy the characters and storyline, it did leave me with some unanswered questions throughout so I do hope there will be a sequel. This is the reason to the 4 Sassy Books rating.

Otherwise I highly recommend reading Ezekiel's Bones. It's the change I needed to get back into paranormal.

With no clues on where "The Creeper" has gone the group of friends face another enemy which leaves Cor trying to figure out who he can really trust.

Thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable Paths of Thorn and Flame is a great read for guys and gals who want an action packed escape from reality. I would highly recommend it to readers between the ages of 13 and 25.

Review- Nathan wasted no time jumping straight into the story from where we left off in Dark Matter Heart (If you missed my review for that check it out HERE).

Now where do I start?

Ok so firstly a note to anyone who has this on their TBR pile, if you're a sook (like I am), don't read it at night. I had NIGHTMARES!!! It seriously creeped me out! What might have done that you ask? Well I can't give anything away but I will say one thing... Frankenstein... I don't think I have ever had nightmares from a book before. So kudos to Nathan for making me poop my pants (not literally).

So onto the story and what a story it is. Fast-paced, intense, creepy, exciting and full of non-stop action! Nathan Wrann entertains page after page with this energetic vampire story that has many twists and turns along the way. Add in a little pinch on romance and you are on one heck of a ride.

I have been so swept up with this story that I immediately picked up the 3rd book in the series once I was finished. So keep an eye out for my review of Paths of Thorn and Flame which will be posted in the next few days.
