Is life better when you’re beautiful?

Jane Johnson has tried every beauty tip and trick known to woman, but none of them have ever made men notice her.

Until now.

Finally, something is working. She barely recognizes herself in the mirror. Is it her new haircut? Two years of yoga class? Her new eyebrow tweeze? Or is it all that nasty wheat grass juice her sister insisted she drink finally working some kind of magic? Whatever it is, something is transforming Jane from plain to downright beautiful.

For the first time in her life, men are noticing her.

Constantly.

Jane is getting so much attention from men she doesn’t know what to do with it.

Before her inexplicable transformation, she couldn’t get a date to save her life. Now she has a date every night of the week. Gorgeous eligible men are throwing themselves at her. They’re even fighting over her. Actual fist fights to win her affection.

It all seems too good to be true.

The only question on Jane’s mind is whether or not her newfound beauty is going to last or if it’s some cruel trick of fate that will fade away as quickly as it appeared.

Because everybody knows, when something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

***If I Were Beautiful is a saucy romance with a mystical twist that will leave you breathless to find out what happens next. This is book one of a three book series. Book two will release April 2017, Book three, July 2017 (or sooner).

Excerpt

Mike’s head swiveled between me and Chelsea. “She’s your sister?”

“Yeah, she’s my sister.” I waited for what usually came next: whenever the men I knew discovered my sister looked like a supermodel, they forgot I existed. Unlike me with my bad hair and thick glasses, Chelsea was tall, had long flowing blonde hair, and a perfect body. And no glasses. If she hadn’t been so damn smart, she probably would’ve gone into modeling. But she was, and she thought modeling was stupid, so she went into marketing.

Mike’s eyes bulged as he looked at both of us.

Fabulous. He was about to lose all interest in me, the short little nerd girl.

He rubbed his hands together craftily. “What a pleasant surprise.”

I rolled my eyes and smirked at him. Not surprising at all.

Mike turned to Chelz. “So, Chelsea. Tell me everything I need to know about Jane. What’s her favorite food? Her favorite restaurant? Does she have any food allergies I should avoid? And what does she like to do for fun besides Satanic baking?”

Chelsea laughed, “Satanic baking?”

“Never mind that. Just tell me what I need to know to get a second date with your sister.”

Okay, so Mike was nothing like every other guy who’d met my sister after meeting me.

Chelsea smiled at me and mouthed the words, “I like this guy.”

Me too.

I was listening intently while Chelsea started naming off my likes and dislikes.

“Hold on,” Mike said to her and turned to glare at me, “Don’t listen, Jane. I want everything your sister tells me to be a surprise.”

“Yeah, Jane,” she said. “This is a private conversation.” She waved her hand at me.

I gave them their space. Two minutes later, the hostess rang the bell and the men got up to switch.

Chelsea nudge me and whispered, “Mike is great. I really like him for you.”

“I know, right?”

“But you’ve got a ton more dates before the night is over. Who knows what the evening will bring?”

“Right.”

“And you should take your glasses off. You look better without them.” She reached up and slid them off my face before I could stop her.

“Wait! I can’t see!” It was true. Her face was now a hazy blur.

“See with your heart not your eyes.”

“Are you kidding? Eyes are the windows to the soul! Give me back my windows!” I grabbed for them.

She slid them in her purse. “You can have your windows back after speed dating. Now pay attention. Your next date is waiting and he looks like a keeper.”
