Guest Post: Top Ten Things On My Bucket List by Samantha Chase

Hey, Sassy Readers!  I’m Samantha Chase and super excited to be here with you today talking about my new contemporary romance, Made for Us,  book one in my new family series, The Shaughnessy Brothers.  And I have to tell you, this family series is one that I know you are going to fall in love with as much as I have.

There are six Shaughnessy siblings and at the point that you’re going to be meeting them, seventeen years has gone since they lost their mother and we see how this still affects who they currently are.  Each book will not only introduce you to an individual Shaughnessy as they navigate through their life and eventually find love, you get to spend a lot of time getting to know the rest of the family, as well.

So…bucket lists. The Shaughnessy Brothers series has me thinking about this a lot since the heroes lost their mother early in their lives. This really shows just how little time we can have—so we should definitely get going on marking things off our lists! Recently I was discussing my own bucket list with my husband and he made fun of some of my choices, but that’s okay, I think his is boring, so we’re even! Here are my top ten bucket list items:

10.  Visit Montana.  No idea why.  It started out as just a phrase I threw out there and now?  I really want to go!

9.  Ride on a zip line.  I’m afraid of heights and yet every time I see someone on one of those things I’m like, I’m going to do that!  Fingers crossed!  Hopefully I will!

8.  Renew our wedding vows in a wedding chapel in Vegas.  We are SERIOUSLY going to try and make this one happen next year at the RT Convention!  You’re all invited!!

7.  Live in another country for at least 6 months.  Once our youngest is in college, we talk about doing this.  I’d love to live in Europe for 6 months and just experience life!

6.   Have lunch with a celebrity.  The closest I have gotten to this was to meet author Sandra Brown at this year’s RT Convention while hanging out in the hotel bar.  She was so incredibly gracious and sweet and kind and I was giddy for WEEKS after that.  But if I could sit down for a meal with a celeb?  That would just be a riot for me.

5.  Fly first class.  I got upgraded once and it was awesome but it wasn’t the grand experience that I know first class can be.  So I’d like to fly an airline that does it right and just get a little pampering in the sky.

4.  Visit a castle.  Normally I’d say I’ve already been to Cinderella’s castle and call it a day, but I’d really love to see a REAL castle and be able to walk through and tour it.  I just think it would be incredibly cool.

3.  Go to a Broadway show.  Seriously, I’ve never done it.  We once saw the Christmas show at Radio City but I want to see something like “Beauty and the Beast” or “Aladdin” on Broadway.  It would be so much fun!

2.  Walk the red carpet.  My husband was in a band once that got nominated for a local award and we went and there was about three feet of red carpet.  It wasn’t exciting.  I want to walk THE red carpet at a major event while waving to the crowd and having my picture taken – but only if all the photographers PROMISE to use Photoshop and make me look 20 pounds thinner!

1.  Go to Australia.  It’s on here but I don’t think I’d survive the 27 hour flight to get there.  Still, if someone wants to lend me a luxury jet, I’d love to cross this one off my list!

Author Biography

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.
