Hey all,
We're the next stop on the Breaking Point Tour. We have my review and a special excerpt from the book, enjoy!
Title: Breaking Point
Author: Kisten Simmons
Release Date: 12th February 2013
Published By: Tor Teen
Genre: YA Dystopian
Goodreads Description:
After faking their deaths to escape from prison, Ember Miller and Chase Jennings have only one goal: to lay low until the Federal Bureau of Reformation forgets they ever existed.
Near-celebrities now for the increasingly sensationalized tales of their struggles with the government, Ember and Chase are recognized and taken in by the Resistance—an underground organization working to systematically take down the government. At headquarters, all eyes are on the sniper, an anonymous assassin taking out FBR soldiers one by one. Rumors are flying about the sniper’s true identity, and Ember and Chase welcome the diversion….
Until the government posts its most-wanted list, and their number one suspect is Ember herself.
Orders are shoot to kill, and soldiers are cleared to fire on suspicion alone. Suddenly Ember can’t even step onto the street without fear of being recognized, and “laying low” is a joke. Even members of the Resistance are starting to look at her sideways.
With Chase urging her to run, Ember must decide: Go into hiding…or fight back?
My Rating:
5 SASSY BOOKS
(A MUST READ)
My Review: Firstly I'd like to thank Tor Teen, Kristen Simmons & Jean Book Nerd for letting us join this wonderful tour, and having the opportunity to review this book. :-)
I haven't read many dystopian books so this genre is still new to me, the only other I've read is The Hunger Games. But with what I have read it's rising up to be a fantastic genre to get in to.
Simmons has done it again with another heart pounding sequel. On reading Article 5 (book 1) I thought nothing could get better than that, but I was so wrong! There's so much going on, you're never left with a bored moment. Simmons has such a way with her words, you get drawn so deeply into the story you become apart of it. Emotions run wild!!
I was going to give a small description of the book in my words than I thought...nah, you have the goodreads one above, that says pretty much everything without spoilers. *whispers* I'd give too many spoilers so I'll zip my lip! ;-)
All YOU need to know is that this series is definitely worth checking out, so here's the goodreads links for both books why not pop them on your to-read pile right now...
Done? Ok, good! Now where was I? ..... Oh yes, read. read. read. READ!! LOL!
I look forward to reading the next installment and seeing where the story will go next.

Now, here's a little excerpt from Breaking Point....
Excerpt
I could see only his profile, but his face was scruffy, his blond hair oily, and his muscular shoulders bowed. He wore donation- bin black slacks and a gray, long- sleeve thermal, rolled up to the elbows, which revealed a scuffed cast half- torn off one arm. From where I stood I could see the faint pink lines of three parallel scars clawed from ear to collar.
