My 1st St Paddy's Day in a new town that was founded largely by Irish folk (In Outback Qld Australia - can you believe it!) Lots of green people around, and a few dodgy guinesses being pulled - yep that's me sorted :-)

ReplyDeleteThose sneaky leprechauns turned our milk and cream cheese green and left my kids Lucky Charms for breakfast! They got away from the traps the kids set for them, but apparently got holes in their pockets and left gold chocolate coins and pennies all over the house! The kids were delighted by the entire thing!

ReplyDeleteIronically, my plans were to avoid it. I don't like corned beef and cabbage and I don't like beer, so that pretty much kills it for me. I do wear green to avoid getting pinched. :) However, this year, DH insisted on the traditional dinner. SO I made it. The family liked it. I am still not a fan. Oh well. Guess I will make it every year for them anyway.

We don't officially celebrate St.Patrick's Day, but many cafes and other establishments provided special proposals for menu and bar on that day. So I met with my friend in a cafe and we celebrated it in our own way:)
