A. Jacob Sweeny

A. Jacob Sweeny has been writing and storytelling ever since she was able to hold a pen. When she spent time working as a teacher with children of varying ages she was fascinated by the awesome power of words to excite and inspire the young mind. Her degree in History with an emphasis on Ancient Near East, and personal interest in world myths, combined with fieldwork in archaeology have inspired her research and development of many elements in the story.

A. Jacob Sweeny- is the author of the popular winning series
The Pulse Myths Series

As a "special" secret I would like to announce that I have a pure romance novel in the working titled "86 Special"

Michelle used to feel like she was behind in everything, especially school and relationships. Her great aunt from the old country says she is like a bland meal, "no salt or pepper". But in junior year, everything changes. Her father takes a position on the Town Council, a popular boy in school becomes interested in her, and most importantly, the Hekademos Learning Center, a private school for 'troubled' students, moves into her quiet neighborhood amidst the protests of the entire town.

After an embarrassing fall over the school wall, Michelle meets Elliot and her ordinary ‘bland’ life changes its course forever.

Elliot is no ordinary human. In fact, no one at the Hekademos Learning Center is. Beautiful and fierce, they have survived throughout the millennia by weaving in and out of human events. Through them, Michelle learns that history and myths from around the world are dotted with references to their kind. Michelle falls madly in love with the ever-striking and mysterious Elliot and, as much as he tries to fight it, he develops strong feelings for her as well. Although Elliot carries numerous painful memories from his many pasts, he disregards his own better judgment and the advice of his friends, and finds himself falling for Michelle‘s offbeat personality. Their feelings grow in intensity, but when History catches up with them, the difference between their life paths threatens to destroy any future that they might have had together.

Michelle learns that there are infinite shades of gray between black and white, and has to deal with the bundle of contradictory emotions called love. She has to trust her intuition in order to face the danger and uncertainty of being drawn into Elliot’s wondrous world. Ultimately, it is up to Michelle to make the split-second, life-altering decision that will either tear them apart forever, or give them another chance.

Of Blood And Pulse

Of Blood And Pulse picks up the story right where Pulse Of Heroes left off...

After a rocky start, Michelle and Elliot's relationship seems to be teetering on nothing but a few fraying strings, despite the great love that they both feel for one another.

Haunted and scarred by the events of the past year, they both suffer from traumatic consequences. To complicate things even further, someone who knows far too much about Elliot shows up unexpectedly, bringing revelations that even Elliot as a 4700 year-old immortal has a hard time grasping. This visitor’s mere presence adds yet another strain to the couple’s already fragile relationship.

However before Michelle and Elliot can remedy and mend their love, they must heal themselves, and that task will not be as easy, or as safe, as it seems. Join Michelle and Elliot on an epic life-and-death adventure that will take them to the four corners of the world in search of the key to their survival.

Here's a special treat an interview with 2 of the characters, Elliot & Rion (love them!), Enjoy!

Elliot De Costa and Rion interview from THE PULSE MYTHS SERIES
By: A Jacob Sweeny

Without further ado I, author A. Jacob Sweeny, will simply introduce you to our much beloved Hekademos delinquents Rion and Elliot from The Pulse Myths Series!!!

Rion:  Greetings fans.

Elliot:  Hi.

Rion: So, since we actually took time from our busy schedules I guess that we will get right down to business and answer a few questions. I know that Elliot never has time anymore.

Elliot: What busy schedule Rion? Like you have so little time (Elliot laughs) to do all those important things.

Rion: At least I don't spend my time tethered to some little woman.

Elliot: You should try it sometimes, you might like it. Give a little meaning to your life that has none at the moment.

Rion: Sounds like the slave that he is doesn't he? (Rion looks out at you-the fan club)

Elliot: That's because you never had it so good. Rion, you're like those scavenger birds, satisfied by little snacks. I like a whole meal with the cherry on top of my dessert. I prefer to wait for quality.

Rion: I don't have the patience. I'll give Elliot the credit on his project. Michelle although still cute as a bug, is very well trained now. As we have all read. You go my man!

Elliot: Education and training are two different things. I know what I like. I see no issue with that.

Rion: Well now they all know what you like, and what you're like.

Elliot: You're digressing.

Rion: Yes you are. How about we answer those questions they asked. The ones about if we were forced to go back in time where would we go. And the one about that wretched Hadeno.

Elliot: I hate it when they bring him up. I can't stand him.

Rion: Your brother, not mine.

Elliot: Half brother, and besides there is no resemblance.

Rion: I think Michelle would have disagreed when she was lying in his bed.

Elliot: He forced her.

Rion: Were you there?

Elliot: Anyway. I just want to clarify that I enjoy being alive now the most. I love Michelle to pieces. Also With the technology and easy travel things have become much easier. I still hate to fly.

Rion: Me too. A necessary evil.

Elliot: But if forced to go back in terms of times, not attachments to people, I would go back to when I built Cyrene. I have always investment time in everything I take charge of, but designing an entire city, on that rivaled Athens is my greatest achievement.

Rion: That place was magnificent. You're so artistic my friend, and a brilliant builder. I'll give him that. (to the fan club) It is a shame to see it in ruins now.

Elliot: Yes. (upset) I don't want to see it again. It hurts too much. I don't know why.

Rion: I wouldn't know what that feels like. But If I was forced to go back in time, I think I would go much further back. I would go back to when I ruled Clochis. It's when all the Argonauts showed up on the shores of my kingdom. It's when I met you Elliot, and Kahl, of course crazy Jason and Devin. Those guys have been my best of friend since that day.

Elliot: That's very moving Rion.

Rion: Don't get used to it. I think we're done here?

Elliot: Yeah.

Rion: If you guys want to read more about us. Just Read The Pulse Myths Series and The Pulse Historia. But do remember that some of that stuff is fiction. Elliot is not that lothario that the author makes him seem like. He's just playing it safe with Michelle. We know all the tricks. (Rion winks)

Elliot: Thanks for the life lesson Rion. you might learn a thing or too if you actually read.

LOL! I just love these guys! Thanks to Rion, Elliot & A. Jacob Sweeny for joining us today, it's been an absolute pleasure having you here.

  1. Thank you so much for bringing The Pulse out for more people to get acquainted with.
Sorry about the guys going at it again... It's hard to get them to agree to anything. And by the few printing mistakes I believe that Rion was probably at the keyboard;he just doesn't care LOL
