Read an Excerpt from Wherever You Will GoI head to the door, still clutching at a piece of peppermint chocolate and trying to dissolve the large piece in my mouth. Swinging open the door I yell, “What the hell, bitch?” Saxon’s eyes are wide and he has an amused grin on his face. “Well, good morning to you too.” My mouth is hanging open, and I know all the blood has rushed from my face. I’m shocked and not only because Saxon is here, but because he stands before me in dark wash jeans with a tight black t-shirt. It has been years since I’ve seen him in anything but a suit or tuxedo. He looks so much younger dressed casually. Less stressed and almost more… carefree. Shaking those thoughts, I meet his eyes. “I thought you were Rach. What do you want?” My words come out more harshly than I intended, and Saxon’s smile turns to a frown, his eyes losing their sparkle. My stomach twists and there’s something about him frowning which turns my gut. I don’t like it. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that. I’m just surprised to see you. What’s up?” I ask in a much more friendly tone. He looks up at me, nervousness shining in those bright green eyes. “I wanted to see if I could take you out today?” The confident, cocky Saxon is gone, and I would’ve never believed this insecure one existed underneath. He wants to take me on a date? Hell no. “Bugger, I’m actually just on my way out,” I say with fake disappointment. Saxon raises his eyebrows at me, and the cocky bastard is back. “Really?” he says as he looks me up and down. I follow his eyes down to my outfit. Sometimes even I can’t believe how stupid I am. I roll my eyes and cross my arms over my chest in defiance, as I also remember not only am I in my flannel pyjamas but I don’t have a bra on. He smiles a cocky smile while looking at my chest, clearly letting me know he caught that also.

Read an Excerpt from Whatever You Do“So,” I start, “two hundred online dates; that’s a lot. Did you date much before you went online?” Before Carl answers, he reaches over and takes a fry off my plate. “Yeah, two hundred. I have been online for a few years now. What about you?” I stare, my eyes wide as I watch him eat the stolen fry. “You are my first online date, actually.” Carl leans over again and this time grabs two fries off my plate. What. The. Fuck? “Wow, a newbie. How are you finding it?” he says, as he shoves my fries into his mouth. I know what’s going to come next so I quickly answer him. “Yeah, great,” I say, before I pick up three fries and shove them into my mouth, followed quickly by another two fries. The heat of the fresh fries burns my mouth, but I don’t even care. He leans over and once again grabs two fries. It takes everything in me not to stab his fingers with my fork. There’s no way he’s eating all my dinner. I begin shovelling fries in my mouth. I stab furiously with my fork, picking up as many fries as I can before trying to fit them all in at once. Carl leans over again and mustn’t see the glare I give him as he picks up a piece of my chicken and pops it between his lips. “Mmm,” he mumbles as he eats my chicken. My freaking chicken. Is this guy for real? I am not one of those girls who doesn’t like to eat. I don’t go out with guys to only order a salad and nibble at it for three hours. I don’t share food, dammit. The meal continues like this, except I can’t shovel in as much food as Carl can, so before I know it, Carl has polished off my parmigiana as well as his own steak. How can such a skinny guy eat so much damn food? I have no idea what we even talked about the whole time as I was too consumed in trying to protect my dinner. Thankfully, Carl doesn’t eat salad, so he did leave that right alone. Awesome. I sense Tate approach as a shadow falls over the table and his cologne fills the air, but I’m too busy pouting to look up at him and enjoy the sight. “How were the meals?” he asks. “Fantastic. Very authentic,” Carl answers. I don’t bother answering as, let’s face it, I barely got a taste. “Would you like to order some dessert? We have homemade Italian pastries.” “Oh God, I couldn’t possibly fit another thing,” Carl says as he rubs his flat belly. Fucker. Gritting my teeth, I try to fight the urge to jump over the table and strangle him. “Well, maybe Harper would like something,” Tate says to Carl. “No thanks,” I say, my voice cold and disinterested. What’s the point? He’ll probably eat it anyway. I just want this nose-dive of a date to be over.
