Jumping Genres in June Giveaway Hop!

Do you have a genre that you wish you'd read more of or haven't tried yet? 

I've read so much NA, YA & Contemporary Romances lately that I'm missing my Historical romances and Dystopian stories. At the moment I'm reading a YA, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone the Illustrated edition. Not only are the pictures brilliant but everytime I turn the page I get that "NEW" book page smell. Yeah, I sniff my books lol. Admit it, I bet you all do too. ^_^

    I hope you don't mind that I won't be answering this question directly or precisely, as I don't exactly have a direct/precise answer! :)
    To be honest, I'm not what you'd call an "avid reader" these days. (It's a combination of-- mostly-- 7 years of grad school leaving me a bit burned out, and this restless ADHD of mine.) I read various articles and stories on the Internet, and from print magazines as well. When it comes to books, my favorite genre would probably be essay collections-- funny ones! I also like memoirs. So... I suppose that if there was a certain genre or type of book that I wanted to read more of, I would... just do it! :)

    I tend to flip between genres. Just finished a fantasy and now am reading a contemporary YA. But I wish I read more mystery...it's time to revisit Agatha Christie!

    Historical- I love it, but usually historical novels are very thick books and recently I don't have that much time for long novels.

    I should be reading more cookbooks so my skills can improve, but I will stick to all the other genres that I prefer! I would like to try steampunk though!
