Title: Dirty Blood
Author: Heather HildenbrandGenre: Paranormal
Released: April 2011
Blurb: I killed a girl last night. I did it with my bare hands and an old piece of pipe I found lying next to the dumpster. But that’s not the part that got me. The part that scared me, the part I can’t seem to wrap my head around and still has me reeling, was that when she charged me, her body shifted – and then she was a wolf. All snapping teeth and and extended claws. But by the time I stood over her lifeless body, she was a girl again. That’s about the time I went into shock… And that was the moment he showed up.
My Rating: A Keeper
My Review: I must admit I have read alot of Paranormal books but mostly about Vampires, fairies etc. This is my first real look at a Werewolf story and it was such a refreshing change.
I was totally blown away by this book, from the 1st chapter I was completely hooked. Heather has outdown herself with this story, it keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole book, has wonderful, funny and strong minded characters. It's full of adventure, danger and love.
Tara's whole life changed in one night were she met the gorgeous Wes *winks*
Loved Tara she's such a strong minded character that likes to take control of her own life and isn't afraid to tell it to you straight! Now Wes *slips into daydream mode ......... snaps out of it* Sorry about that lol. What can i say he's every womans fantasy guy. He believes Tara is his destiny *swoons* and will do anything he can to protect her from harm.
The secondary characters are just amazing too, Jack had me laughing out loud got some wierd looks from Hubby. He's a strong leader who is a teddy bear underneath. Fee is just gorgeous, she'll help you out with anything and she wouldn't complain a bit. Vera now to me she came off as a little intimidating, she means well. Leo is just plain scary, he's the pure bad guy that we all love to hate.
This book is one you can read over and over and i know i'll be one of the people first in line for Book 2.
A world of Hunters and Werewolves...Whose side will you be on?
I really recommend reading this book if your a big Paranormal fan or even if your not.
