RSVP
from Heaven is filled with memorable scenes from the most remarkable
parties and unique social events around. Some of these events may be
considered controversial to others.
What or who inspired you to become a writer?
Through the years, I’ve shared stories about my psychic medium readings with clients (and anyone else who listened) and the response was very positive. People were encouraging me to begin writing a book for them.
My mother and younger brother were instrumental in motivating me to begin writing the first draft. As a psychic medium, I was taking part in some very exciting parties and unique events but never thought about recording my adventures.
My brother encouraged me to begin taking a journal with me and writing about my experiences. So, I stocked up on notebooks and pens from the 99 Cents Only Store. I kept notes on everything going around me, the people I met, and the spiritual readings which were the basis for the book. Authenticity is key to everything written for my readers.
Who is your favourite Author & what is it that really strikes you about their work?
I really don’t have a favorite author. I tend to read more nonfiction books and select books by the subject matter.
What was the hardest part about writing your book?
Learning to be comfortable with my writing skills and writing the book in my own distinct style. I was constantly bombarded by people who kept giving me their advice and recommendations.
What was your favourite chapter to write and why?
One of my favorites is Chapter Five the Green Harvest Festival. This was a 21 and over event and one that may be looked upon as controversial in the eyes of others. Once I arrived to set up my vendor table, everyone was very welcoming and hospitable.
As a psychic medium, I had the chance to read for some very interesting people (mainly mid-twenties) at this festival, while local comedians, rappers, and a reggae band performed onstage. I love the part in the chapter where I met a young man from Detroit, Michigan.
Dion was unsure about having his first psychic medium reading but once he sat down, I read for him for over an hour. I still remember when I connected Dion to his deceased brother Bernard. At one point during the session, Dion looked at me and said. “Damn the last time I saw my brother we fought over something real stupid. I wish I could take it all back because weeks later Bernard was murdered.”
Do you ever experience writer’s block?
I have quite a bit of material to use from my journals, notes, client interviews and audio recordings. When I experience writers block I take a few days off to clear my mind.
What is the last book you read?
I tend to read from all genres and from a wide range of authors. I am currently reading, “A Stigmatist: Marie-Rose Ferron by Jeanne Savard Bonin. Marie Rose Ferron, often called the Little Rose, was a Canadian-American Roman Catholic mystic and stigmatist.
Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?
Everything in my book is based on real people, events, and actual psychic medium readings I have given.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to see play the lead role as you?
It would have to be Mellissa McCarthy.
Is there anything you’d like to say to your readers and fans?
“Expect the Unexpected.”
Through the years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and guiding people. From college students to adult film stars which makes a more interesting experience for my readers. Through the book, you will witness people come to me when they are searching for direction and needing hope. We have all been there before; times when our relationships are breaking apart, we are unfulfilled in careers, family members causing havoc, and wondering if relocating will give us a new opportunities and a new lease on live. We all have self-doubts if we are living life as it was meant to be for us.
I was having all these wonderful adventures and meeting so many people at amazing events. I wrote the book for my clients but it’s also for those wanting to get a glimpse into my life as a psychic medium.
In essence, to let people know you are not alone with your problems or wanting to hear from a deceased loved one. There are many people having a similar struggle within their own lives. It may not be the exact situation, but they are hurting as much as you or even more.

What’s one thing readers would be surprised to learn about you?
For over ten years, I’ve been a special education teacher working with juveniles on probation, serving sentences in correctional facilities, on parole, and alternative high school settings.

About the author
Marie Saint-Louis is a psychic medium with an international cliental and a growing celebrity list. She has read at parties sponsored by major corporations and frequently appears at events and private parties around the Phoenix area and other cities.
“My story all begins when I provided guidance and connected deceased loved ones for people at a radio station sponsored swap meet located in a casino parking lot. It wasn't easy as I battled social anxiety and lifelong depression and repeated rejection along the way. Just months earlier, I won a large jackpot on a nickel slot machine and decided to bring my spiritual gifts through reading at parties and events to become more comfortable in sharing spiritual readings in public. The winnings allowed me to pay the vendor’s fees to get started. I’ve never looked back since”.
She believes that “no event is too small or location too far” for her to share her gift with people looking to connect with deceased loved ones or receive guidance about their lives.
“Since childhood, I’ve talked to those who have passed on and was able to tell people detailed things about their lives that couldn’t be explained. I’ve never read a book, or studied how to be a psychic medium….I was born this way.”
Marie lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her two rescued cats, numerous houseplants, and visiting spirits. Marie is presently writing her second book in the RSVP from Heaven series and other creative projects.
